RESPECT IN SPORT

IMPORTANT UPDATE BY HOCKEY CANADA
REGARDING THE MANDATORY
RESPECT IN SPORT FOR PARENTS COURSE

The mandatory Respect in Sport Parent Course
is now required to be renewed EVERY 4 YEARS.

  • The Respect in Sport course is MANDATORY for all families registering within the Hockey Edmonton Program.
  • The Respect in Sport Parent Program is an online certification program that MUST be completed by a least one parent or guardian of each player registered in minor hockey in Alberta.
  • This course MUST be taken/renewed prior to any on-ice activities inclusive of the first tryout skate for any team/program.
  • Registrations are NOT complete until the course has been completed/renewed.
  • The Respect in Sport Parent Course can be found at: https://hockeyalbertaparent.respectgroupinc.com

IMPORTANT TIP:

When you are asked to associate your child with an Association please scroll down until you reach NW ZONE and mark the box beside it with a checkmark. DO NOT CHOOSE ANY OTHER ASSOCIATION. Choosing the wrong association will register the course with that association and this will cause a major problem and delay in getting the course registered with the correct association (ours) and onto your child’s Hockey Canada Registry (HCR) profile. If the course isn’t registered on your child’s HCR profile it is considered that you haven’t completed/renewed the course resulting in your child not being properly registered and therefore not being allowed on the ice.
